OK, I can't take it anymore. Someone has to stop the madness. There is only one person who can. Unfortunately he is too arrogant and spoiled to realize that he is making an ass out of himself. Brett, put the microphone down, stop texting, put the cell phone down and go back to Mississippi. We don't care about an aging superstar with eroding skills who is trying to hang on to the glory years. Right now Brett is like Uncle Rico, claiming he can throw a football over a mountain range. Go sit down Uncle Rico. The glory days are over. You didn't win state. Have a steak and shut up.

Mike and I move on from the discussion about how the contenders will shake down and move on to our thoughts on how the MVP, CY and ROY will sort out.
NATIONAL LEAGUE
Most Valuable Player
The Candidates: Hanley Ramirez, Chase Utley, Lance Berkman, Adrian Gonzalez, Chipper Jones.
With the All-Star break finally upon us, my fellow website founder and good friend Mike Walsh and I were talking about who we thought were the legitimate contenders in each Division and in each Wild Card race.
This is what we came up with:
Last night as I was getting ready to go to bed I happened to check my phone as I plugged it into the charger. There were two texts from my buddy and fellow Nufcedder, Sisco. One of them was stating that Barry Zito still sucks which, of course, he does. The second text was the one that was troubling. It said that Baron Davis had opted out of his contract. At 10:45pm I had flown through Sisco's jet wash. I was in a flat spin headed out to sea. I immediately hopped on the world wide web to see for myself. Sure enough, Baron turned down his 2008-2009 option which would have paid him $17.8 million dollars. I was going to write about the NBA draft and talk about free agency and such. However, given the recent events that have befallen my team, or rather its fan base, I feel compelled to write about the Golden State Warriors.
